Hello folks!
Hope you’ve all been well! (Blows the dust off of the page)
Jiu here writing to all 5 of you to let you know about some plans for the imminent future!
Namio and I would both like to put more utility into the BSLS page, not the least of which is because I’m very honoured there are some of you interested in following our work c:
In the remainder of 2026, we’ll be attending a few cons in North America and South East Asia! These are right around the corner, so I’d love to see you (in person or in spirit) if you’re able to make it out to any of them!
OCT 31-NOV 1 | Comic Frontier, Indonesia
NOV 7 | Mississauga Comic Expo, Canada
NOV 13-15 | Anime Revolution Toronto, Canada
NOV 27 | Toronto Graphic Novel & Manga Club Exhibition, Canada
It’s been wonderful seeing everyone, as well as many (!!!) returning faces too. It seriously means more than I can describe to hear that people enjoy our work enough to tell me about it.
To that end, namio and I are hoping to cook up something in 2027 to thank you guys for being regulars. Please look forward to it!
We also have two upcoming zine releases to round out the year!
SBZM #3 | Great Gales - the third mainline instalment for SBZM, our tang dynasty omegaverse detectives featuring Zhou Linfeng and Yuezheng Xiude. Another fic entry, namio is hard at work delivering this monster of a story >:3c There are some ‘new’ faces debuting as recurring cast in this one, so please look forward to it!
FBCI | Carotid - what I’d consider the ‘flagship’ of our FBCI series, despite the fact FBCI | Work Arrangements jumped the gun on it. This zine is finished and set off for print, ready to debut at our November NA conventions! Now I can finally rest easy saying I really did make that forensic autopsy dr x paranormal investigator det comic.
Speaking of the FBCI | Carotid comic, it will be shared in full on the BSLS patreon across the next 3 weeks! Please look forward to it every Saturday to ring in the fall season 🙏 I always think of November as peak FBCI season, so please enjoy receiving it in your inbox. I’ve wanted to share a story freely in full for some time now, so I can think of nothing better than this labour of love c: I’ll be honoured if you enjoy it.
That’s all for now! There are many more exciting things up ahead, but I’ll save that for a later journal >:3c Have a lovely day, all, and see you tomorrow!
-Jiu
P.S. If you’re wondering about our finished zines, there’s actually a bit of a backlog right now, so I’ll be adding previews to those in the coming weeks! Thank you for pardoning the dust 🙏
